Terms of Service

1. The service

The Socialist is a free, educational political-ideology quiz plus optional accounts, a Supporter membership, and a members community. The quiz is for education and entertainment; results are not political, financial, or professional advice.

2. Accounts

You may sign in with Google or Apple. Keep your account secure and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity under your account.

3. Supporter membership & billing

• Supporter is a recurring subscription billed through Stripe on a monthly or yearly basis.
• It renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from My Account → the billing portal; access continues until the end of the paid period.
• Prices may change; we'll give notice and changes apply to future billing periods.
• Because membership gives immediate access to digital services, where you have a statutory right of withdrawal (e.g. the UK/EU 14-day right) you acknowledge that access begins immediately.
• Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

4. Community rules & acceptable use

The community is for respectful discussion. You agree not to post content that is:

• abusive, hateful, harassing, or threatening;
• spam, advertising, or external links;
• illegal, or infringing someone else's rights.

Posts and messages are automatically screened, and we may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of what you post, but grant us a licence to host and display it as needed to run the service. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share.

6. Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service.

7. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
